We are an active, hard-working and fun loving family who look forward to welcoming short stay guests into our home of any nationality, race or religion. We live in a lovely detached house near the city of London in the town of Cheshunt, Hertfordshire.

I have 3 kids ages 11 (boy), 13(boy) and 16 (girl), they like to get familiar with other cultures. We have experienced the pleasure of offering hospitality to Spanish, Japanese, Ukrainian, German and French guests. My children are very independent, sociable, friendly, tidy, welcoming and love hosting people from other countries. We have no pets and no smoking is allowed in the home (only outside).

Homestay Terms and Conditions

Payment and Booking

A booking is confirmed upon completion of the booking request and receipt of the cleared payment through PayPal.

If the guest is staying for four weeks or less, then the total amount of fees must be paid at the time of booking.

If the guest is staying more than four weeks, then only a booking deposit of £100 is required, and will be charged at the time of booking. The guest is then required to pay for the initial four weeks accommodation fees on arrival. Thereafter, payment should be made every two weeks in advance. The Lead Host will issue an invoice before the due date.

Continued failure to make payments on time could jeopardize your continuation in our homestay.

Cancellations and Refunds

If cancellation is received with more than 28 days notice, the accommodation fees less 50% deposit fee will be refunded.

If cancellation occurs with less than 28 days notice, then the cancellation charge will be equivalent of 7 days accommodation fees and loss of booking deposit.

Termination

If you decide you want to leave earlier than agreed, you must give the required notice as outlined below:
1. For guests who have booked up to four weeks or less there must be a minimum notice period of 7 days or seven days accommodation fees must be paid.
2. For guests who have booked for four weeks or more and want to leave earlier than agreed, you are required to give 14 days’ notice, or two weeks accommodation fees must be paid.

Insurance

The Host Family cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss of property whilst in the homestay unless proved to be caused by a member of the host family. Guests are advised that they should take out personal/travel insurance to cover their belongings against theft, loss or damage. The guest will be responsible for his/her personal belongings.
Holidays and Breaks
There are no concessions or reduced rates for taking breaks or holidays during your booking period if your stay is less than four weeks.
If your stay is more than four weeks, providing you give at least 14 days notice, concessions or reduced rates may apply.
Arrival Time
You must inform your Host of your expected time of arrival at least 7 days in advance of your check-in date. If a pick-up service is required, please arrange this with your Host promptly.


Departure and Left Luggage
Please inform your Host of your time of departure on the day you are due to leave. Please make sure you take all your luggage and belongings with you when vacating the homestay as your Host Family cannot be responsible for personal items left behind.
Under Eighteens
If you are under eighteen years of age the Lead Host requires the written permission of your parent or legal guardian agreeing to your stay in our homestay accommodation.
Complaints
Should you be dissatisfied with any aspect of your homestay, please speak to your Lead Host as soon as possible and we will try to sort out the problem for you. The Host Family reserves the right to refuse to continue to accommodate any participant should the Lead Host find his/her behaviour unacceptable. In this case no refunds are given.
House Rules
Whilst your Host Family wants you to be happy in your homestay we want to remind you that you are staying in someone’s home and as such you should observe any house rules that the Lead Host may request.

How do I book an accommodation?

 
Booking with us is really easy. You just have to go to the accommodation page you are interested in. Select the dates you wish to stay there. Afterwards, you select the option of the type of room you want.

Once you have selected all these options, on your right hand side, you are going to see a summary of your reservation with all the information about the accommodation, with its prices. Also, the deposit you have to pay will be displayed there. You just have to press the Orange Button that says BOOK NOW and this will take you to another page to enter your personal details. When you are booking you only have to pay the little deposit.

Once the host has been chosen by you and a deposit has been paid upon booking, the  host will confirm the availability of the services required and process your booking, at that time you receive a second e-mail with confirmation of your place.
